Can I use Rybix ODT if I have a history of alcoholism?

Your doctor may not prescribe Rybix ODT (tramadol) if you have a history of alcoholism. Rybix ODT is a pain reliever that belongs to a class of medications called opioid analgesics. Combining alcohol with Rybix ODT and other opioid analgesics can cause serious side effects and even be fatal. People who have a history of addiction problems may also be at higher risk of abusing opioid drugs. If you've had a drinking problem in the past, your doctor may choose to prescribe a different type of pain reliever for you.
