If you have an enlarged prostate, you may be able to use MS Contin (morphine), which is typically prescribed for around-the-clock treatment of moderate to severe pain that's expected to last for an extended period of time. Talk to your doctor -- MS Contin may interact with some medications used to treat enlarged prostate. Also, an enlarged prostate increases your risk for a painful side effect of MS Contin, acute urine retention, a condition in which it's difficult to urinate.
