Can I take morphine controlled release if I'm pregnant?

Talk to your doctor if you become pregnant while taking morphine controlled release. If a doctor gives you a prescription for morphine controlled release and you're currently pregnant, make sure your doctor is aware of your condition. There are no known risks to unborn babies of pregnant women who use this drug. However, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not ruled out the possibility there may be a risk. Your doctor may determine that the benefits of morphine controlled release outweigh any potential risk.
