Can I use Fentora if I have had a head injury?

If you have recently suffered from a head injury, your doctor will be extremely cautious about prescribing Fentora (fentanyl), a morphine-like drug for breakthrough cancer pain.

Whenever you experience a head trauma, the pressure inside your skull can become dangerously elevated. Fentora can further worsen this buildup of pressure, increasing your risk of seizures and other problems. Talk with your doctor so the two of you can weigh Fentora's risks against your need for greater pain relief.
