What should I know about Ryzolt before taking it?

Ryzolt is an opioid analgesic meant to relieve moderate to moderately severe pain. Because Ryzolt is an opioid, it may be habit-forming and may cause withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking it abruptly. This drug may make you drowsy and may affect your coordination. People who take this drug may be at increased risk of suicide. Ryzolt can also interact with a long list of other medications. Avoid alcohol while taking this drug.

If you have a history of seizures, head injuries (including brain tumors, strokes and any intracranial pressure), brain or spinal infection, symptoms of depression, lung disease or breathing problems, diabetes or kidney or liver disease, you may not be able to take this drug. Additionally, this drug is not considered safe to take during pregnancy.
