What is K-Phos Neutral?

K-Phos Neutral is a medication used primarily to deliver phosphorus to the body, sometimes to correct or prevent a phosphorus deficiency. A common intended use is to increase the acidity of a person's urine. Its primary ingredients are potassium phosphate and sodium phosphate, and it is available both over-the-counter and by prescription. The phosphorus makes urine more acidic and decreases the concentration of calcium. K-Phos Neutral can also be used to increase the antibiotic power of methenamine.
