What side effects of Micro-K should I report to my doctor?

Taking Micro-K or any other potassium supplement may cause you to have an upset stomach or other gastrointestinal discomfort. If you develop black, tarry stools, tell your doctor right away. Also, tell your doctor if you develop any of these or other severe and persistent side effects:

  • mental confusion
  • fatigue or listlessness
  • a tingling, prickling, burning, tight or pulling sensation in your arms, hands, legs or feet
  • a sensation of heaviness or weakness in your legs
  • cold, pale, gray skin
  • stomach pain or unusual stomach bulging
