Side effects with dextrose sodium chloride injection may include increased blood glucose levels, increased fluid load that cause edema, irritation or infection at the injection site and fluid leaking out of the IV line at the injection site. If you have these or any adverse reactions after being given this medication, contact your physician immediately. It is possible corrective measures may need to be taken.
