Who should not receive INFeD?

Do not use INFeD (iron dextran) if you are allergic to iron or any ingredient in this medication. You may not be able to receive this medication if you have high iron levels, heart disease, liver disease or kidney disease. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should check with their doctors to see if this medication is safe for them.
