Do not take K-Phos Neutral if you already have high potassium or phosphorus blood levels. You should also not take this drug if you have infected phosphate stones, impacted feces, difficulty urinating or severe kidney disease. If you have one of several other conditions, you should talk to your doctor before taking K-Phos Neutral. These include:
- obstructed bowels
- hypertension
- liver disease
- swelling
- high sodium
- low calcium
- hypoparathyroidism
- pancreatitis
- rickets

- heart disease
