What should I know about Triple Vita Drops with Fluoride?

Your baby needs to take these drops only if they are unable to take in an adequate amount of fluoride through drinking water. Usually, amounts of fluoride in drinking water below 0.3 ppm (parts per million) merit additional sources for this mineral. You also may give this medication to your baby if he or she is not getting enough vitamin A, D or C in their diet. Your doctor also should make sure that fluoride is not provided by other medications that your baby takes. While taking Triple Vita Drops with Fluoride, your doctor should make sure that the baby does not develop dental fluorosis. The medication is available only by prescription and can be taken directly from the dropper or mixed in food or a beverage.
