What should I know before receiving Ringer's Injection?

Before receiving Ringer's solution for injection, you should know that it is not recommended for use if you have congestive heart failure, kidney problems or swelling. Use of Ringer's solution for injection is not advisable when any added amount of sodium, potassium, calcium or chloride may affect a pre-existing condition. Before receiving Ringer's, you should discuss all current medications and your medical history with your doctor. If you have a metabolic or respiratory condition, discuss the risks with your doctor before receiving Ringer's. This injection should only be administered under the careful supervision of a doctor. An overdose could result in a serious metabolic disorder.
