What should I know about Feraheme before taking it?

Before starting Feraheme you should tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or are on hemodialysis. Tell your physician if you are taking any medications or supplements, particularly if you are taking iron supplements. Tell your doctor if you've ever had an allergic reaction to intravenous (IV) iron or any other medication. If you are due to have an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) procedure in the near future, your doctor should know about it before starting you on Feraheme.
