Can I take Micro-K if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

If your doctor prescribes Micro-K, be sure he or she knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. There are no studies in humans or animals to indicate if taking Micro-K could harm an unborn baby. It is unlikely that proper use of this or other potassium supplements will cause problems (assuming potassium levels do not become dangerously high). It's also unlikely that taking Micro-K will harm a nursing infant. But talk about your use of this medication with your doctor to be on the safe side.
