Common side effects of using Metanx include a feeling of swelling of the entire body, numbness or tingling, sleepiness, headaches, nausea and mild diarrhea. If these effects persist or become severe, see your doctor. Stop taking Metanx immediately if you have an allergic reaction or if you become dizzy or itchy. Symptoms of an allergy may include rash, hives, itching, trouble breathing, closing of the throat, or swelling of the face, mouth, lips or tongue.
