Who should not take Cambia?

Some groups of people should not use Cambia or should ask their doctor first. Before you use Cambia, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Cambia can increase your risk for a heart attack or stroke, so do not use it if you have had these problems, or shortly before or after heart bypass surgery. Tell your doctor if you smoke before taking Cambia. NSAIDs can also cause stomach bleeding or perforation, so do not take Cambia if you have a history of these problems. Tell your doctor if you suspect a stomach problem. Other conditions may need to be taken into consideration and may prevent use of Cambia, including a bleeding or clotting disorder; phenylketonuria; heart disease, high blood pressure, or congestive heart failure; nasal polyps; liver or kidney disease; or asthma.
