What is etodolac?

Etodolac is an oral medication used to treat pain and inflammation. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and inhibits pain-causing hormones. It had been sold under the brand name Lodine, which is no longer available in the US. It is available only as a generic. It is used in the treatment of mild to moderate pain, dental pain, bone pain, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
