Who should not use Voltaren-XR (diclofenac) extended-release tablets?

Certain people are at a higher risk for the serious side effects of Voltaren-XR (diclofenac) extended-release tablets.

Do not use Voltaren-XR (diclofenac) extended-release tablets if you have ever had an allergic or other reaction to aspirin or any other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

Do not use Voltaren-XR (diclofenac) extended-release tablets either right after or before having heart bypass surgery.

Women who are in the last trimester of pregnancy or are breastfeeding should not use Voltaren-XR (diclofenac) extended-release tablets.

Let your doctor know before using Voltaren-XR (diclofenac) extended-release tablets if you have heart, kidney, or liver disease; any blood disorders; or gastrointestinal conditions.

Let your doctor know of all medications and supplements you are taking. Voltaren-XR (diclofenac) interacts with several medications.
