Fenoprofen calcium belongs to a family of medications called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that may increase your risk for stomach problems, including ulcers and bleeding. Fenoprofen can worsen kidney disease. Studies also suggest that long-term use of NSAIDs may increase the risk for a heart attack or stroke. If you need a type of heart surgery called coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), you will be instructed to stop using fenoprofen calcium immediately.
