Ibuprofen lysine injection can interact with other medications. Although ibuprofen lysine injections are not recommended to use with the following medications, sometimes both medications are necessary. Ibuprofen and any of the following medications' dosing should be adjusted when used at the same time. The medications include:
- ardeparin, beta glucan, certoparin, dalteparin, danaparoid, desirudin, enoxaparin,
- ginkgo, methotrexate, nadroparin, parnaparin, pemetrexed, reviparin, tacrolimus, and tinzaparin.
Using ibuprofen lysine injections with the following medication can increase the likelihood of ibuprofen lysine side effects and side effects of:
- acetohexamide, alacepril, amikacin, amiloride, aspirin, azosemide, bemetizide,
- benazepril, bendroflumethiazide, benzthiazide, bumetanide, buthiazide, candesartan
- cilexetil, canrenoate, captopril, chlorothiazide, chlorpropamide, chlorthalidone, cilazapril,
- citalopram, clopamide, clopidogrel, clovoxamine, cyclopenthiazide, cyclosporine,
- cyclothiazide, delapril, desipramine, desvenlafaxine, duloxetine, enalaprilat, enalapril
- maleate, eprosartan, escitalopram, ethacrynic acid, femoxetine, flesinoxan, fluoxetine,
- fluvoxamine, fosinopril, furosemide, gliclazide, glimepiride, glipizide, gliquidone, glyburide,
- hydrochlorothiazide, hydroflumethiazide, imidapril, indapamide, irbesartan, lisinopril,
- lithium, losartan, methyclothiazide, metolazone, milnacipran, moexipril, nefazodone,
- olmesartan medoxomil, paroxetine, pentopril, perindopril, phenytoin, piretanide,
- polythiazide, quinapril, quinethazone, ramipril, sertraline, spirapril, spironolactone,
- tasosartan, telmisartan, temocapril, tolazamide, tolbutamide, torsemide,
- trandolapril, triamterene, trichlormethiazide, valsartan, venlafaxine, xipamide, zimeldine, and zofenopril.
It's not recommended to administer ibuprofen lysine injections around the time you feed your infant. Talk to your doctor about your baby's feeding routine and when ibuprofen lysine injections need to be given.
