Because little is known about the actual cause of bronchoalveolar carcinoma, little is known about how to prevent it. However, there are several preventable factors that are known play a role in developing other types of lung cancer. In order to prevent lung cancer, doctors usually recommend that people avoid cigarette smoke (both first-hand and second-hand), exercise frequently, and eat a healthy diet. You can also avoid toxic substances that can be found in the home or at work, such as radon, chemicals, or asbestos.
