What are the divisions of the trigeminal nerve?

These are the three divisions of the trigeminal nerve: the ophthalmic division, at the forehead and eye; the maxillary division, at the cheek; and the mandibular division, which is the jawline. Trigeminal neuralgia is most common in the third division, the mandibular division around the jaw, or the maxillary division, often around the edge of the nose or the upper lip.
