Should I ask my family doctor for a referral to a naturopath?

Some general practitioners may be skeptical of naturopathy. If conventional medicine is not meeting your needs, consult with a naturopathic physician. Ask your doctor for a referral. There are some medical doctors that have naturopathic training. If your doctor has no resources, ask people you trust for a reference. The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) can help you locate physicians with a doctorate in naturopathy or naturopathic medicine.
