Who should not take Astelin (azelastine)?

Astelin (azelastine) is not appropriate for children under the age of 12. Additionally, if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or breastfeeding, you should not take this medication. If you have certain allergies or have kidney problems, Astelin may not be right for you. Finally, if you are taking Cimetidine (more commonly known as Tagamet), you should talk to your doctor, as you may be more susceptible to certain side effects.
