Who should not use azelastine?

Do not use azelastine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to it. Azelastine should not be used by children younger than five years of age. Pregnant women should not use azelastine since it may affect the development of a fetus. Women who are breastfeeding should talk to their doctor about whether they should use azelastine. People with kidney problems may need extra monitoring or regular blood tests while using azelastine.
