Who should not receive Benadryl injection?

Benadryl injection should not be received by women who are breastfeeding because it could affect the infant. Do not receive Benadryl injection if you are taking sodium oxybate (GHB). If you are allergic to any medications containing diphenhydramine or other antihistamines, discuss this with your doctor before using Benadryl injection. Before using Benadryl injection tell your doctor about all of your medical conditions, including lung and breathing conditions such as asthma; glaucoma; stomach or intestinal blockage; diabetes; hypertension; porphyria; thyroid problems; an enlarged prostate or difficulty urinating.
