What are the side effects of Crolom?

Common side effects of Crolom (cromolyn ophthalmic solution) include dry or irritated eyes, a mild burning or stinging sensation after the drops are administered and an increase in watering or itching of the eye. These side effects are not serious. Rare but serious side effects are the swelling of the membrane covering the white part of the eye, styes, rash or other serious eye irritation. Seek immediate medical assistance if these side effects occur. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face and lips, hives and difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention. It is possible Crolom may cause unexpected side effects that are not described above. If you experience any unanticipated reaction while using Crolom, talk to your doctor.
