Is there a generic version of Optivar?

A generic version of Optivar is available as azelastine hydrochloride. Although the generic medication must be tested to ensure that the active ingredients are equivalent in both the brand name and generic form of a particular medication, generic Optivar may have different inactive ingredients than Optivar. Currently, Optivar is available in single-use packaging but generic Optivar is only available in multi-use bottles.
