What forms of Benadryl are available?

Benadryl is available over-the-counter or by prescription. It comes in a variety of forms, including oral liquid, tablet, capsule, dissolving film and disintegrating tablet and topical cream, gel, spray and injection. It can be taken with food or on an empty stomach. When taking Benadryl it is important to follow the directions on the package or given by your doctor. If you are taking Benadryl for motion sickness or sleep, take it at least 30 minutes before traveling or going to sleep.
