Can cromolyn be taken in any other forms?

Yes, cromolyn is administered orally, as eye drops, inhalant and nasal spray. Taken orally, cromolyn treats symptoms of mastocytosis (an excess of mast cells), including pain, nausea and vomiting. Oral cromolyn helps stop mast cells from releasing symptom-causing chemicals. Cromolyn can be taken as eye drops to relieve allergy symptoms in the eyes. Nasal cromolyn also eases allergy symptoms. When taken as aerosol inhalant, cromolyn also can prevent and treat asthma attacks.
