Carbinoxamine and pseudoephedrine are the generic names of two drugs that are combined into one medication used to treat allergies and colds. Carbinoxamine maleate is an anti-histamine that eases symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes and itching. Pseudoephedrine constricts the blood vessels and mucus membranes in the nose to help relieve nasal congestion. Medications that combine these two drugs include: Maldec, Rondamine, Palgic DS, and Palgic-D. This medication, as well as the brand names, are no longer available in the United States, however, they may be available elsewhere.
