Can I use cromolyn aerosol if I'm pregnant or breast-feeding?

Before using cromolyn aerosol, tell your pharmacist if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breast-feeding. There is no evidence that using this medicine will harm a developing fetus, however, animals given this medication in lab studies gave birth to babies with low birth weight, though only at very high doses. It is not certain if cromolyn sodium passes into breast milk.  Your doctor may decide that you should only use this product if it's absolutely necessary.
