Is rhabdomyosarcoma painful?

In some cases, rhabdomyosarcoma or its treatment may be painful. If the tumor is pressing on muscles or nerves, it may cause pain. If rhabdomyosarcoma develops in the urinary organs or anal area, urination and bowel movements may be painful. In some cases, the tumor itself will not cause any pain, but the treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma may be painful. Surgery and some types of radiation therapy may cause pain in the affected areas.
