Adults can get some types of rhabdomyosarcoma, but they are usually different than the types of the cancer that affect children. In general, children are more commonly affected by rhabdomyosarcoma than adults. If adults develop this cancer, it is usually anaplastic rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a type that is very rare among children.
