Are there alternative treatments for muscular dystrophy?

Although the effectiveness of alternative treatments hasn't been proven, there are several options that may be beneficial to people with muscular dystrophy. One of the most popular alternative therapies is massage, which helps keep muscles loose and may improve range of motion. Hot baths may provide similar benefits to massage. In addition, a balanced diet is always beneficial to your health.  This may include vitamins and herbal supplements like fish oil and caffeine-free green tea. However, none of these treatments are yet been scientifically proven to help.
