Who should take Colcrys?

Colcrys is prescribed for people with gout, a painful buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints. The drug doesn't cure  gout, but it can help prevent future outbreaks and reduce pain and swelling. Adults and children older than four years of age may take Colcrys for familial Mediterranean fever. Talk to your doctor to determine if Colcrys is right for you.
