Who should not take leflunomide?

Don't take leflunomide if you have had an allergic reaction to it. It should also never be taken by pregnant women or women who are planning to become pregnant, because this medication can harm a fetus. Leflunomide may also pass into breast milk, so breastfeeding women are also advised against taking it. It is not confirmed whether leflunomide passes into sperm, but it is recommended that men also not take this medication if they are trying to father a child. If you have a significant pre-existing liver condition, or develop one during treatment, you should not take leflunomide.
