Cimzia should not be given to children and adolescents. Children using other tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blockers are known to have a higher incidence of some cancers, including lymphoma. People with tuberculosis or other infections or who have recently received a vaccine, should not receive Cimzia. People who are allergic to Cimzia or any of its ingredients should not take the medication. People with certain medical conditions, including tuberculosis, hepatitis B, cancer, seizures, psoriasis, congestive heart failure, bleeding disorders, blood or bone marrow problems, fungal infections, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, eye problems, nerve problems or lupus-like syndrome, should discuss these with your doctor before starting on this medication.
