While my Mom is taking denosumab, should she stay away from my sick kids?

While your mother is taking denosumab, she may be more likely to catch infections, so she should avoid being around people, including her grandkids, who are sick with colds or infections. She should call her doctor right away if she gets any of these symptoms:

  • fever
  • chills
  • sore throat
  • rash 
  • red, painful skin 
  • burning or pain when she urinates
