Certolizumab can inhibit your body's ability to fight infections. Taking this medication increases your risk for life-threatening infections, including tuberculosis (TB) and severe fungal infections. Before taking certolizumab, tell your doctor if you have any signs or symptoms of infection. Also, tell him/her if you've experienced a serious infection or been exposed to TB. Certolizumab pegol may increase the risk of lymphoma and other cancers in children and teenagers. Certolizumab is sold under the brand name, Cimzia.
