What precautions should I take while using certolizumab pegol?

While taking certolizumab, you should avoid exposure to people with tuberculosis and other infectious diseases. The medication can limit your body's ability to fight off infections and may increase your risk of life-threatening infections. Be alert to any symptoms of infection or illness while you're taking certolizumab. Seek care immediately if you develop a sore throat, cough, flu-like symptoms, fever, sores, difficulty breathing or sweating while using this drug. Certolizumab is sold under the brand name Cimzia.
