Botox cosmetic is specifically using botulinum toxin type A, or Botox, injected into specific areas of the facial region in order to reduce the deep wrinkles and deep rhytides wrinkle lines. This is a temporary three to six month reduction of the wrinkles in the mid forehead, forehead, periorbital, and perioral, around the lip areas. The neurotoxin will be injected, temporarily will paralyze the muscle and relax those affected muscles, causing reduction of wrinkles and frown lines.

Botox Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an injectable prescription medication used for cosmetic reasons. Botox Cosmetic must be injected by your doctor and is used cosmetically between the eyebrows to relax deep lines and wrinkles and improve appearance. Botox Cosmetic is a neurotoxin injected into muscle that temporarily paralyzes a sweat gland or muscle and causes the nervous system to relax the affected muscle.
