What health issues might be a problem if I take tizanidine?

If you have health issues such as a history of liver or kidney disease, tizanidine (Zanaflex) may not be an appropriate drug for you. Discuss your health history with your doctor. Also make sure your doctor knows if you're pregnant or plan to become pregnant, or if you're breastfeeding, before you start taking tizanidine, a drug used for multiple sclerosis (MS). If so, you may need to postpone treatment. Discuss any drug allergies or sensitivities you might have with your doctor before you start taking tizanidine.
