If you're taking the antibiotic ciprofloxacin, birth control pills or fluvoxamine (used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder), make sure your doctor knows before you begin treatment with tizanidine, which relieves muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis (MS). Also tell your doctor if you're taking medicines for heartburn or acid reflux, including over-the-counter drugs such as cimetidine and famotidine.
