What is the dosage for tizanidine?

Your doctor is most likely to start you on a low dosage of tizanidine (Zanaflex), then gradually increase the dose until the drug begins working for you. (Tizanidine is used to relieve muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis, or MS, a nerve disease.) Make sure to always take the exact dosage of medication your doctor prescribes. Do not skip doses, even if you feel better. If you accidentally miss a dose of tizanidine, ask your doctor what your next step should be. Never stop taking your medicine without talking to your doctor first.
