What are the side effects of carisoprodol?

Common side effects of carisoprodol include: headaches, drowsiness, skin irritation, dizziness or clumsiness, vomiting or upset stomach and increased heart rate. These symptoms generally do not require a doctor's visit unless they persist or become severe. More serious side effects that may require your doctor's attention include: flu-like symptoms, fever, shaking, difficulty sleeping, labored breathing, eye irritation or burning, weakness, mood swings, long-lasting dizziness and signs of serious allergic reaction (including hives, rash, swelling of the face or lips, chest pain or breathing problems). Call 911 for emergency medical help if you experience symptoms of allergic reaction while you are taking carisoprodol.
