What are the risks of taking orphenadrine?

People who are sensitive to sulfites may have an allergic reaction to orphenadrine.

Orphenadrine may interact with phenothiazines. If you are taking both orphenadrine and potassium supplements, your body may not fully process the supplements.

Orphenadrine may cause drowsiness or dizziness, which may make it dangerous to drive or operate some machinery. Alcohol can make those symptoms worse, so do not combine it with orphenadrine. Other medications that make you drowsy could also raise the risks of orphenadrine.

Elderly people who take orphenadrine may have a heightened risk of becoming confused or disoriented.
