Do colchicine tablets interact with other medications or food?

Colchicine tablets should not be used with grapefruit or grapefruit juice. Some medications, including azole antifungals, atrovastatin, bezafibrate, macrolide antibiotics, HIV medications, cyclosporine, verapamil, clofibrate, fenofibrate, digoxin, fluvastatin, simvastatin, clofibrate and interferon Alfa-2a may influence the way colchicine reacts in your body. Discuss all medications, supplements and your diet with your doctor before beginning treatment with colchicine tablets.
