What should I know about carisoprodol before taking it?

Carisoprodol may be habit-forming. Carisoprodol should never be given to another person or taken by someone who has a history of drug abuse. Withdrawal symptoms are possible if Carisoprodol is stopped abruptly after being taken for a long period of time. Do not stop using this medication suddenly without first talking to your doctor. Carisoprodol can cause drowsiness, which can interfere with driving or operating machinery. It should not be taken by pregnant women. Carisopodol is excreted in breast milk, therefore, breastfeeding women should not take it.
