Are there any risks in taking Cimzia?

Cimzia may increase your risk of infection, which may become life-threatening, because it also reduces your body's ability to fight off infections. Some medical conditions may increase your likelihood of experiencing an infection or other complication from Cimzia. These include: diabetes, HIV or AIDS, lupus, a seizure disorder, hepatitis B, any current or previous cancer, congestive heart failure or nerve or muscle disorders. Having had a recent vaccine or infection, such as tuberculosis, may increase this risk. Cimzia increases the risk of some cancers, such as lymphoma, and some autoimmune disorders.
